North Korea are Crowned World Champions......

The World Cup is now over and North Korea have won it on penalties against the South Koreans. Should this be a prelude to the real World Cup final in 4 weeks time then maybe there would be bombs at the end instead of fireworks, but in this simulation it was all smiles! Both the teams topped their groups to make it into the last 16 and were worthy finalists. But cometh the hour and cometh the man, after a 1-1 draw at full time it was to the dreaded penalty kicks and Keepers Brian Scoffin (south) and Andy Van Evelingen (North) to do battle against the kickers. Andy Van (the Man) Evelingen pulled off two world class saves to deny the reigning world cup champions (Tremough Chiefs) and win the Cup 2-1 on the pens. Congratulations to North Korea (Malcolm & Dennis) well done you deserve it!

The Mini World Cup Holders are the youngsters (Rapid Viagra) Honduras on the day, After a tough group draw they sat at the bottom of their table and wondering if they could pick themselves up for the KO stage of the mini world cup. But they made it their against fellow Group C strugglers Australia (Zafiros) to win the Mini world cup out right with a 1-0 win

All the pictures from the event and results from the KO stage can be found below. Group results found on the tables & results section.

Its every Footballers dream to win the World Cup and you can as Soccer Nights stages the World Cup at Truro College on the day England Kick off in South Africa. Yes you and your team mates could actually be holding aloft the Jules Rimet in a few weeks time (well a replica of the real thing). This six aside version of 2010s proceedings will replicate the whole of the group and Knock-out stages over 6 hours of Football with the winners being crowned World Champions 2010......Do you have what it takes??

The Format.

Obviously the team that draws England has added pressure of the hopes of this great nation to carry on their backs! Cmon England!

Therefore each team will play 3 group qualifying games with the top two in each group qualifying for the World cup Last sixteen. But do not fear if you are drawn into the group of death and miss qualification on goal difference as there is also the mini world cup to play for between all the bottom two teams in the group stage. This means that there is a guaranteed 4 games of 20 minutes 1 hour and 20 mins of football minimum, with half of those teams making a 5th game and so on. Food Refreshments, and pitch side events will also be there on the day.

How to Join In the Fun
