MATCH REPORTS WEEK 4
CHAMPIONS CUP SEMI FINALS
Bodmin Bullets 0 vs 1 Bodmin Allstars
The battle of Bodmin saw the Allstars triumphant and into the final thanks to the solitary strike from Simon Guinan that sees them through. Bullets keeper Matt Trendall was fuming after Gunians shot crept under him at the near post. Bullets tried but with several key players out the Allstars Marched on!
Red Arrows 0 vs 1 The Western
The favourites to do the double are out again in the semi finals. The Western have always been a stubborn team to beat and do well against the arrows but results of late suggested the Reds were favourites. But in the cup anything can happen and despite Manager Danny Wiltons pessimistic approach to the game his Reds are in the final thanks to a single goal from young Prodigy Scott Thomas found the onion bag to set up an intriguing Final between them & the Allstars.
SUPER LEAGUE Week 4
All Blacks 3 v 0 Padstow Utd
Padstow looked like they might break their duck and finally grab that all elusive first goal in the super league but were thwarted by a couple of good saves from the All Blacks keeper. Then it was all about Karl Thompson as he took the match ball home after a thumping hat trick that left the bottom club still after goals and a win. Surely its just a matter of time?
Bodmin Bullets 4 v 0 Slackers Utd
Bullets surprised the Slackers with some slick football that from time to time they can play. Sam Bristow, son of Eric and Andy Saunders both popped up with a brace each to make the game extremely comfortable. Slackers did have their chances but big Matt Trendall was in impressive form between the sticks.
Bodmin Allstars 0 v 2 Red Arrows
Red Arrows made up for earlier disappointment and kept themselves right in the title race. The mercurial striker Clive Allen is in great form just like idol Wayne Rooney and bagged went into double figures for the season with his 10th & 11th strike of the campaign. The top two are pulling away from the pack now.
The Western 2 v 0 Bodmin Boyz
The Western are moving on up and finding some form since a dodgy start to the season by their standards. This 2-0 win over new boys Bodmin Boyz as Dave Wilton and an Crawley both slotted home to make the points safe and move them up the table.
Parbados FC 0 v 3 All Blacks
The second 3-0 win on the night sees the All Blacks leaping up the table into sixth after an unsteady start to the campaign. This time it was more of a team effort as Karl Thompson, Dean Boyle and Jamie Facey all found the back of the net for an impressive win.
Padstow Utd 0 v 5 The Western
3 wins on the night see Danny Wiltons men climb to third in the table and into a cup final, all in all it was a good night for the tarmacs. Not famed for their big wins this 5-0 win probably their best to date came against the cellar dwellers Padstow utd. Shaun Crawley, Guy Crawley, Ben Thomas and a Scott Thomas double sealed Utds fate as they still go in search of their first goal.
Red Arrows 3 v 0 Salford Reserves
5 goals and none against keeps the Arrows right on the toes of leaders and Salford were just no match for the Arrows. Captain Mark Gusterson bagged a brace with Chris the Rock Allen also on target for the champions.
Slackers Utd 1 v 3 Bodmin Allstars
Allstars move into seventh with a fine win over Slackers who were defeated again after another sloppy performance. Dean Dingle scored for the home side again but usual suspects Simon Guinan and a Richard Yeo double gave the visitors the points.
Lerrynites 0 v 1 Queen Vic
It was a classic British ruck as these two battled for supremacy but eventually with a little help from Lerrynites defenceman Rich Roose Chris Luxton showed a little bit of class to tuck home the winner for a Massive Queen Vic win.
Bodmin Boyz 2 v 0 Bodmin Bullets
The Boyz hammer the Bullets and climb one place to 14th with their second win in as many weeks since joining the league. Admitidly the Bullets were under strength but that does not mean anything in these fierce local derbys. ?? scored the goals that mattered for Ben Frosts men.
Rosseneri 0 v 0 Parbados FC
Both teams are struggling to find the onion bag at the minute with Parbados with 3 in 8 and Rosseneri not much better. So not unsurprisingly goal less it ended as both teams happy for a point.
Salford Reserves 0 v 0 The Goonies
Gonnies have been playing the season of their lives so far and were in3rd but a point against lowly Salford didnt do their credentials much good. But then any team struggles to get the ball past perhaps one of the best and most consistent keepers in the league in Simon Hawley as Salford snatch the point.
C-Unit 1 v 2 Screaming Eagles
Eagles picked up their forth win of the season as they beat the Unit on their own turf. Steve Hustwayte and Jason Pickersgill scored the goals that mattered as the Eagles put the Unit to their forth defeat in a row.
Screaming Eagles 1 v 2 Rosseneri
Stuart Brown fired the home team in front but Rosseneri engineered a magnificent come back to grab all 3 points as ?? scored the winning goals for their second win of the campaign and still remain unbeaten but languishing in mid table with 5 draws.
Queen Vic 2 v 1 The Goonies
The Vic left it late to take the win in this close game. The Goonies were third and playing the top team they had to give it their all and were unlucky not to grab at least a point. Stuart Wheeler had given the Goonies a dream start when he smashed home for 1-0 but the Vics top scorer Liam Ames grabbed his seventh of the season to equalise. Then just as it looked as though it would end all square Dan Jennings swivelled and volleyed home a thunderous winner worthy of all 3 points on its own to keep Jon Days men on top of the tree.
Lerrynites 3 v 0 C-Unit
Lerrynites move into fourth with this thumping win over the C-Unit. The Units season appears to be in free fall at the moment after their fifth defeat in a row. Heath Lewis grabbed two and Rich Roose was also on target for his first in approximately 32 years of trying as they cruised to victory.

SNIFA Cup Semi Finals
Salford Reserves 0 v 0 Rosseneri (1-2 pens)
This game went to the wire and when they couldnt decide a winner in normal time it went to the dreaded penalties. Now Salford were experienced having beaten the Goonies on the spot kicks in the quarters but this time Simon Hawley could not rescue his team once again despite saving one. And strangely it was the Germans who missed their spot kicks as in Shane & Wayne for Salford that gave the Rosseneri the win as Jon Sommerfield and Alex Webb slotted home theres. Who Said the English cant beat the Germans on Pens!
Lerrynites 2 v 0 C-Unit
Lerrynites cruised through to the next round but were helped when the Unit gave away a soft penalty. Justin Lewis converted and they were on there way. Dan Collis made the tie safe when he netted in the second half to see them into the final against the Rosseneri.
Super League Week 3
All Blacks 0 v 0 Bodmin Allstars
All Blacks were robbed of victory in controversial fashion as this game ended goal less. The Allstars had some chances themselves but All Blacks will feel the more aggrieved as Dean Boyles effort was ruled out for stepping in the area when clearly the ball was struck from outside. Karl Thompson also struck the post but the Allstars hung on for a point.
Slackers Utd 0 v 1 Lerrynites
Lerrynites snuck the win thanks to a great goal from Heath Lewis. It puts the Lerrynites within touching distance at the top of the Super League.
Salford Reserves 0 v 3 All Blacks
All Blacks fuming from the last game took it out on the poor hapless Ressies. Karl Thompson struck twice and Dean Boyle scored legitimately this time for a comprehensive first win of the season!
The Goonies 1 v 1 Rosseneri
Martin Trevarthen gave the high flying Goonies the lead but it was cut short when James Branch equalised for a share of the points.
Bodmin Allstars 0 v 0 The Western
The Allstars were involved in another bore draw as there fans went home disgruntled after not seeing a goal all night. The Early leaders are now down to sixth place.
C-Unit 0 v 1 The Goonies
The Goonies move up to third place after this narrow win over the C-Unit. A single Simon Brown effort was enough to see the points home.
Lerrynites 0 v 1 Red Arrows
The question is how did the Lerrynites not get something out of this game after squandering several golden opportunitys, maybe is something to do with self proclaimed Chris The Rock Allen who was solid at the back but also on hand to set up Brother Clive for the winner and to claim all 3 points.
Queen Vic 1 v 0 The Western
Queen Vic claimed this was the hardest game they had played all season so far as so to scrape a victory they were chuffed with. Despite having about 289% of the play they could not find a way past the hard working western when Dan Jenkins slotted home a great move.
Screaming Eagles 1 v 2 Slackers Utd
The Eagles were undone by a comical own goal as Slackers take the points. Steve Hustwayte had given them the lead but Slackers Dean Dingle equalised. Then From a Slackers corner the on rushing Eagles keeper Jules Wedlake-Crocker went to clear his lines only to air wing and the ball went in off the standing foot, Paul scholes esque but in the wrong net.
Red Arrows 2 v 0 C-Unit
The Arrows pick up 6 points to keep the pressure on the leaders with this 2-0 win and cap a miserable night for the Unit. Clive Allen & Chris the Rock Allen were on hand to smash the ball home and left Gary Cudmores men weeping on the sidelines after 3 games without a goal or a point on the night and out of the cup.
Bodmin Boyz 0 v 1 Screaming Eagles
New recruits the Bodmin Boyz were welcomed to the league by the Screaming Eagles who were determined to grab all 3 points after their latest disappointment. They did thanks to anther great Steve Hustwayte strike gave them all 3 points. The Bodmin Boyz look useful though and will be giving a few teams the run around.
Padstow Utd 0 v 0 Parbados FC
Padstow Utd have finally done it and got one of the monkeys on their back by picking up their first point of the season. Parbados were simply under par but take nothing away from Padstow who brought their A game t the table masterminded by the young Scott Robinson at the healm.
Padstow Utd 0 v 7 Queen Vic
After expending all their energies on picking up their first point of the season perhaps it wasnt perfect timing to meet top of the table Queen Vic, but try as they might the youngsters from Padstow were no match for the formidable Vics. Liam Ames starred with a fine hatrick, Dan Jenkins bagged a brace as well as player manager Jon Day also finding the onion bag twice.
Parbados FC 0 v 2 Bodmin Boyz
The Bodmin Boyz have arrived and duly dispatched the Parbados team with relative ease. Captain Ben Frosts super strike and a Matt Nelson goal gave the new boys all 3 points to lift them off the bottom
This Weeks Fixtures....(Different to advertised on the notice board last week) And a big welcome to the Bodmin Boyz who take over Inter meringues spot in the league.

Match Reports for Week 2.......
SNIFA Cup Quarter Finals
Lerrynites 1 vs 1 Screaming Eagles (2-0 on Pens)
Screaming Eagles took the lead in this game and looked odds on for victory when Jason Pickersgill slotted home in the second half. But Captain Justin lewis saviour of the Lerrynites equalised late on to take the game to penalties. It was then down to spot kicks and whilst Heath & Justin Lewis netted Pickersgill & Nicholas couldnt find the net and were out.
C-Unit 1 vs 0 Inter Meringue
Walk over victory sees the Unit into the semis
SUPER LEAGUE
Slackers Utd 2 v 0 Inter Meringue
With Inter away the Slackers had to play Red Arrows to boost their goal tally. In an exciting 2-2 friendly Chris Cloak and Robin Pearce found the onion bag for the Slackers 2 goals
Queen Vic 3 v 1 All Blacks
All Blacks have solved the equation of how to score against your opponants, this their forth attempt of the season saw them grab their first goal and it was a beauty of an OG from the Vics Jason Ames. The Vic were in control already at this point and went on to net 3 times when brother Liam showed Jason the right end to score in twice and Chis Luxton made it more comfortable with the third.
The Western 1 v 1 Rosseneri
Try as they might these two teams just could not be separated and when Dave Wilton opened the scoring for the western the Rosseneri hit back when Jon Somerfield opened his account for the season.
Slackers Utd 0 v 3 Queen Vic
The Vic topped the table with this impressive performance and win. Captain Jon Day silenced the home crowd early on with a rasper that flew past the Slackers keeper before he could move. From then on it was easy street and Dan Jennings and Alex Hearn added to tally with equally impressive strikes.
C-Unit 0 v 1 The Western
The Western hardly ever give stuff away and once again the Unit found them tougher than ever to break down, so when Joe Orchard found the net for the away side you kinda just knew that they would hold on for all 3 points.
Rosseneri 1 v 0 All Blacks
In a repeat of last weeks cup quarter final the Rosseneri and the All Blacks squared up again and All Blacks were determined to get one back on their counter parts in the league. But alas the goal drought continues for the Blacks as Jon Somerfield did the business this time to snatch all the points.
Inter Meringue 0 v 2 Red Arrows
Red Arrows played the Slackers to boost their goal tally as Inter Bus once again could not make the journey over from Padstow. So Clive Allen and Mark Gusterson improved their goal tallys with class strikes in a 2-2 draw.
Bodmin Bullets 0 v 1 C-Unit
A confirmed broken wrist for Jamie Howard ruled him out of Bullets line for a few weeks but with Andy Gattuso Cornwell back in he side they hoped for an improvement. But no the ever improving C-Unit did a tidy number on them and took all the points home with a single Joe Warrick goal and their first win of the season.
Screaming Eagles 1 v 0 Bodmin Allstars
Bodmin Allstars were the early pacesetters after week one but it didnt last long as the visit to Eagle park proved fruitless when Mark Nicholas popped up to score the only goal of the game as they picked up their first win of the new season.
Lerrynites 1 v 0 Bodmin Bullets
two 1-0 defeats on the night see last seasons runners up floundering in 12th spot. However Lerrynites third last time out are doing much better and picked up another valuable 3 points with a single Justin Lewis strike rounding off a great counter attack to slot home.
Bodmin Allstars 0 v 0 Lerrynites
The new goals at Bodmin Dragon centre are proving to be somewhat of problem as teams the narrower yet taller nets seemingly harder to score in? This was another prime example of its tough out there but then its still the same amount of goal area to score in?
Salford Reserves 0 v 1 Screaming Eagles
Eagles move up to sixth after back to back wins on the night. This time it was Ian Hunter on target for the Eagles to take home the points. Hey but at least the Reserves can say we were joint top at one stage during the season.
Red Arrows 7 v 0 Padstow Utd
Last seasons Champions made light work of dispatching the youngsters from Padstow and banged in 7 without reply. Clive Allen is on a hot streak at the moment and he grabbed an impressive 4 goals to top the golden boot charts and with a Mark Gusterson brace and a Chris Allen goal Uniteds ship was sunk.
The Goonies 0 v 1 Parbados FC
Parbados picked up their first win of the campaign in a game that could have swung either way as both teams went for it. A single goal from mark Meagle though proved the differnece on the day as the away team went home with all 3 points.
Padstow Utd 0 v 1 The Goonies
The Padstow boys regrouped, had big team hug and vowed not to get smashed again in a all for one and one for all rally. They faired much better and were unlucky not to score themselves as Scott Robinsons men fought well but in vain in the end! A single goal by ?? was enough to seal victory for the Goooons who to be fair squandered a lot of chances themselves also.
Parbados FC 2 v 0 Salford Reserves
Two wins in a row as the Par side out ran and out classed the Ressies in this game. It was two in a row for striker Mark Meagle also as he scored for the second game running and Bryn Phillips bagged the second to put the game out of site for Parbados. Salford Fans were flooding the team website and radio phone ins after the game all commenting on Blakeys lack of effort. SNIFA Cup Quarter Finals
The Goonies 0 vs 0 Salford Reserves (1-2 on Penalties)
The teams could not be seperated in normal time and so to pens it went to decide who would be in the semi final draw. Salford have goalie Simon Hawley to thank for seeing them through to the next round after he saved two of the Goonies pens to win through after Salfords Darren Blake had Blazed over the bar to put the tie in jeopardy.
Rosseneri 1 vs 0 All Blacks
a super tight quarter final was eventually decided by the one goal, James branch found himself on the end of a great move to finish off the resistance of the All Blacks and see his side safely through to the semis.
SUPER LEAGUE
Slackers Utd 0 v 0 The Goonies
A bore draw sees both teams share the points, not many talking points as the play was bogged down in midfield with few chances at either end. Still new boys Slackers finding their feet must be pleased with a point.
C-Unit 1 v 1 Rosseneri
Points shared in another tight affair as Adam Cudmore and Frank Dawson traded goals to leave neither manager happy with the outcome.
The Goonies 1 v 0 Inter Meringue
With the team bus breaking down Inter couldnt make the match and Goonies get the walk over win. They played their Cup Quarter final with Salford instead.
Lerrynites 0 v 0 All Blacks
Points shared as both keepers earnt their clean sheet bonus in their first battle of the league season.
Red Arrows 2 v 1 Slackers Utd
Champions Red Arrows got off to a good start beating new boys the Slackers with the mercurial Clive Allen bagging a brace in the process. Although in control for most of the match the arrows made hard work of it and Dean Dingle replied for the Slackers to make it tense.
Queen Vic 0 v 0 Rosseneri
Rosseneri picked up another draw but will be happier with this one as they spent a lot of the game under the cosh as the Queen Vic went in search of the 3 points. But alas 0-0 it stayed
All Blacks 0 v 0 C-Unit
All Blacks usually good in front of goal found it difficult tonight as this the 3rd game of the evening saw them once again draw a blank. Still a point each is better than no points at all. Both teams still boast an unbeaten record though but are still win less.
The Western 0 v 2 Lerrynites
Lerrynites usually struggle with this fixture but ran away with it in the end with a comfortable 2-0 victory. Heath Lewis got the Ites off to a great start and as The Western pressed to get something out of the game Dan Collis grabbed a second to put the game to bed.
Inter Meringue 0 v 1 Salford Reserves
Walk over win for the Ressies as Inter Bus broke down on the way to the match.
Bodmin Allstars 2 v 0 Parbados FC
The Allstars opened their account in style with a simple win over new boys Par Bados FC. Simon Guinan opened the scoring and captain Matt Hooper also stepped in with a goal for an Allstars win.
Bodmin Bullets 0 v 0 Screaming Eagles
Bullets without several 1st team players managed to scrape a draw against the Eagles who will be bitterly disapointed not to take advantage of last seasons runners up.
Red Arrows 0 v 1 Queen Vic
Queen Vic stamped their arrival to the Super league defeating two times Champions Red Arrows by the single goal. It was a excellent end to end game that could have swung either way but the Vic edged it when Liam Ames slotted home for all 3 points.
Padstow Utd 0 v 4 Bodmin Allstars
Bodmin Allstars put new comers Padstow Utd to the sword and smashed 4 without reply to put them on top of the pile in week one. Aaron Sturdy, Richard Yeo (2) and a Simon Guinan goal put pay to the youngsters efforts.
Screaming Eagles 0 v 1 The Western
The Western picked up their first points of the campaign with a close fought win over the eagles. Dan Crowley was the hero of the hour smashing in from close range to take home the points.
Parbados FC 0 v 2 Bodmin Bullets
Bullets pick up all three points as ?? scored for the win, but it may come at a cost as playmaker jay Howard may be out for weeks with what looks like a suspected fractured wrist after a heavy fall.
Salford Reserves 3 v 0 Padstow Utd
Salford see them selves in the dizzy heights of joint 1st in week one with this win over the new side Padstow Utd. Utd have much to learn as they get to grips with the Bodmin league but Salford showed their experience and won the game comfortably with strikes from Jay Crocker (2) and hero keeper Simon Hawley slotting home a penalty.
The New Bodmin Super League welcomes in 4 brand new teams.
