Week 5 Match Reports....
PREMIERSHIP
Rehab Madrid 1 v 0 Peldrose Pymps
A David Kreihn strike in the very last seconds of the game gave Madrid all 3 points. The Pymps seem to have tightened up their defensive frailties of late and were unlucky not to get something from the game. But the win enables the Rehabs to close the gap on their rivals and drag them near to the relegation places.
Djemba Wanderers 0 v 3 Midnight Runners
Wanderers were missing players as their flights in for the big game were rerouted due to the French air strikes. A loan of two AFC Truro players did not help their plight as they took on the ever improving Runners who ran out comfortable winners in the end with Gareth Walker on Target and a Brace for Luke Abbot-Smith.
Midnight Runners 2 v 0 Peldrose Pymps
Runners made it back to back wins with an impressive 2-0 win over the Pymps. Pymps look to be struggling in front of goal as their fans are yet to witness a goal in the last 3 games but at least they are creating. Runners though are in impressive form moving up to third when Luke Abbot Smith and Nathan Senior bagged goals for the win.
Celtic Devils 1 v 4 Rehab Madrid
Rehab climb out of the relegation zone and in to mid table safety for now with this the second win of the night. They rolled over the Devils with relative ease and their top scorer Tony Sek was again the architect for a Madrid win. Sek struck twice with Colin Kettle and captain Rowan Hartgroves also finding the onion bag. Devils hit one back when ? Scored but it was only a consolation as the Devils get dragged into the relegation zone.
Djemba Wanderers 2 v 1 Troggies Trojans
Djemba picked up 3 valuable points as they fight for their survival in the Premiership. It helped when two Extra Wanderers arrived from Truro international airport for the second game and Ben Hopwood and Ben Saul cancelled out Tom Evertons goal and dragged the Troggies into the mire.
Troggies Trojans 0 v 2 Trevs Tractorboys
A better performance from the Trojans as they took the Tractorboys to the wire but after a goal less first half, the difference was a Mr Liam Streat whos thunderbolt of a right foot somehow was just too hot for keeper Richie Williams to handle and it squirmed into the corner. Streats second goal came shortly after and the the points were safe and Trevs were very relieved.
Trevs Tractorboys 1 v 0 Cornish Mafia
Mafia in third Trevs in second it was always going to be a close affair and it was. Mafia were dealt a blow when usual GK Dave Hill was forced to play outfield with a serious Tattooing injury. Elliot Jolly donned the gloves and it proved to be an inspired performance from the Mafias Captain between the sticks. But eventually all the hard work was undone as Kayne Trevaskis struck for the winner deep into the second half and Trevs remain second opening up a 7 point gap from 3rd, is it a two horse race now?
Celtic Devils 1 v 2 Aces High
Aces piled more misery on the Devils with this narrow win that either side could have won, but sometimes when your battling down at the bottom the luck just doesnt go your way. Jon Skiller and Marco Scuito scored the decisive goals and Aces move up to fifth.
Cornish Mafia 0 v 0 Dodgers
Bottom of the table Dodgers fought valiantly for a share of the spoils and Mafia just didnt get going. No surprise that the game ended goal less then and the point helps neither side efforts in the league.
Aces High 0 v 1 Sporting Lesbians
Aces can be good and on their day will beat anyone but today they just were not playing up to standard and allowed the leagues leaders to control the game and deservedly win the game. Matty Buffon in goal for Aces was actually playing out of his skin and his man of the match performance made it difficult for the Lesbians who had Nick Boase to thank for the winner.
Dodgers 2 v 2 F.A.G.S
Basement side took the champions to the wire and got a deserved point for their efforts. On loan Booner Aarron Meredith was their hero as he took his chances well netting twice to cancel out the FAGS goals from Paul Billing and Nick Crook. But its a massive blow for any title hopes the FAGS had as they linger in mid table.
F.A.G.S 0 v 1 Sporting Lesbians
After upsetting league leaders Trevs Tractorbys could the FAGS do it again this time upsetting the also unbeaten Lesbians. But no the champs could not. But the Lesbians left it very late but made it worth while when Mark Hollands scored for a massive 3 points here and 6 on the night once again. 10 straight wins now are they unstoppable?
CHAMPIONSHIP
Heron Hackers 5 v 0 Cornish Allstars
9 games and still not a goal conceded but you would expect that against the leagues lowest club. But Hackers helped themselves to a hatful for a change and notched up 5 as ? All scored for an emphatic win and a massive boost for the goal difference.
Cornish Allstars 1 v 1 AFC Truro
Ben Annears men faired better in the battle at the bottom as they shared the points in this close game. The Allstars Top scorer also bagged the goal that mattered with AFCs ? Equalising. Still Allstars are bottom and still in search of that first win.
Heron Hackers 2 v 1 Obiwan Kenobi Nil
Shaun Brooks goes down in the annals of history as the first man to score past the Hackers in the league this season. But the Hackers are in the running for the title and managed to beat the youngsters with Scholes turn and shot proving to be the winning goal. And it was a big 3 points over fellow title chasing Obiwans.
Booners Boys 4 v 0 AFC Truro
As joint leaders the Booners gave themselves a boost going into the big game with this 4-0 demolision of lowly AFC Truro. Little and large duo Martin Keen and Aaron Merdith have recently been compared to another great little and large act as Blackcats Quinn and Phillips and they helped themselves to 2 goals a piece in this rout.
Obiwan Kenobi Nil 1 v 1 Six Of The Best
Obiwans title push took a dent this week with a loss at Hackers and then more dropped points at the improving but inconsistent Sixes. Mike Penhaligon opened the scoring but Obiwan were pegged back and conceeded when the aptly named Dan Scorer slotted home. Penhaligon had a chance to seal it late one but squandered his chance in the dying seconds and a point only it was.
Leg-Ends 3 v 0 Booners Boys
Billed as the early title decider maybe the Booners had just ran out of steam after smashing 4 in the earlier game. But The leagues leaders took their home advantage and the result never looked in doubt as they ran out very comfortable winners with 3 easy goals from Shaun Johnston, Ryan Ault and Nathan Taylor.
Six Of The Best 6 v 0 Golden Retrievers
Sixes lived up to their name in more ways than one as they smashed their opponents out of the park. Retrievers just didnt turn up but the Sixes were in no mood for mercy and rocked their counterparts when Steve Williams & Dan Jewell bagged a brace each, Johnser and an own goal made the points extremely safe.
Pasty Lovers 0 v 2 Leg-Ends
Surprisingly this was the Leg-Ends first six point week since week one but they stay top just on goal difference to the Hackers. Pastys lost this fixture 4-0 last season so were impressed that it was just the 2 this time out. Shaun Johnston got both to maintain their push.
Golden Retrievers 1 v 0 CCP FC
CCP took an early blow when top scorer Lee Alberts limped off with a sprained ankle. Retrievers then took full advantage as Richard Cooper slotted home for 3 points and CCPs promotion push was well and truly rocked. How does a team go from losing 6-0 to winning 1-0?
Cornish Wonderers 0 v 1 Dyslexia Untied
Dyslexia picked up a massive 3 points as they look push themselves out of the bottom two. Craig Thomas was the away sides hero as he stooped in the second half for Untieds second win of the season.
Dyslexia Untied 1 v 1 Pasty Lovers
Four points for Dyslexia and it should have been six if it wasnt for a late Pasty strike with 10 seconds left of the watch of the Ref. Untieds Captain David Robinson thought he had given his side their second 1-0 win in a row when he tidily scored but unfortunately it wasnt to be and a point each was perhaps fair.
CCP FC 0 v 0 Cornish Wonderers
Nither side had scored in their opening games and neither side scored here in this one as the days dullest game finished nil nil. Fair but the fans were not happy and demanding the clubs splash out on a striker in the transfer window.

Match Reports for league Week 4.......
PREMIERSHIP
Dodgers 1 v 2 Midnight Runners
The Runners hardly ran away with it but made hard work of it against the divisions basement side still in search of their first points. But to be honest you could not tell which team was stuggling the most. Aaron Howe scored for the dodgers but it turned out to only be a consolation as ?? scored for the Midnight Runners win.
Dodgers 2 v 1 Djemba Wanderers
Finally! On the eighth attempt the Dodgers have done it! Against fellow strugglers Djemba the Dodgers get their first win and points of the season. James Strong and Adam Haywood did the damage as they exacted revenge on the early season thumping that Djemba handed out to them. Both managers felt their team did enough to win the game but it was the Dodgers taking home the points. Djemba scorer ?
Midnight Runners 2 v 2 Rehab Madrid
Points shared but unfortunately no winners as both teams went for the jugular in a tense game. Runners twice took the lead but were pegged back each time when Ronnie Rosenthal scored twice to take home a well fought out point.
Djemba Wanderers 2 v 1 Peldrose Pymps
Djemba put the earlier defeat out of the minds and conjured up a great win of the Pymps. Despite the early set back when Mike Chamberlain scored Djemba pulled off a great comeback and edged it 2-1 with strikes from ?? & ??
Rehab Madrid 0 v 0 F.A.G.S
Two great teams cancelled each other out in fascinating game that some how ended goal less. Both keepers had little to do as chances were few and far between but when called upon were first class. Both these teams are at the wrong end of the table for the quality in the squads but the season is still young and surely things will change.
Peldrose Pymps 0 v 4 Sporting Lesbians
lesbians had an easy run out against the usually robust Pymps. But it helps when you have a stiker in form in the shape of Mark Hollands who bagged himself a tidy hat trick. Nico Lane chipped in with another and the Lesbians unbeaten run continued.
Troggies Trojans 0 v 1 Sporting Lesbians
The Trojans proved to be tougher opposition but still the 100% run continues as they now top the table after 8 games. Nico Lane was again the hero for the Lesbians as he notched up another notable winner, but this run surely has a lot to do with Tom Davies performance in goal as after 8 games only 1 goal has benn conceeded.
Aces High 1 v 3 Troggies Trojans
Aces had no answer to the Trojans Brandon Light as he shone brighter than ever with an unstoppable performance and all 3 goals in a great match. It keeps the Trojans away from the relegation zone and back in to mid table as the Championship Champions establish themselves in the top flight.
Trevs Tractorboys 0 v 1 F.A.G.S
It was the big game of the night as the current table toppers faced off against the current Champions FAGS. The Tractorboys were hoping to emulate Arsenals success and go a whole season undefeated but came unstuck as a single goal late on from Paul Billing sent the home side packing and losing their top spot. Had the Tractorboys made more of the chances they created then perhaps it would have been a different story? As it was the champions took the points.
Celtic Devils 2 v 1 Cornish Mafia
The Devils came to the game struggling in the relegation zone and the Mafia third and looking to challenge for the title so this game was surely going in the way of the Mafia! Errr NO! Mafia didnt really get their game going and Nick Perrys goal was not enough as defence men Tom Mullard and Richard Hobbs struck to hand a massive lifeline to the Devils and move them up to ninth
Celtic Devils 1 v 6 Trevs Tractorboys
Devils felt the full wrath of the Tractorboys might as they were crushed 6-1. The Tractorboys fuming after their earlier loss just took it out on the Devils and hit the for 6 as Trevaskis (2) a Rich Ivers goal and sublime hat trick from Bryan Hawke gave them the emphatic win. The Consolation for the Devils came in the form of a Marco Van Bastern Style volley from Paul Hoskings from the tightest angle that crashed in off the post.
Aces High 1 v 0 Cornish Mafia
Not a great night for the mafia as they went down 1-0 for a second successive defeat on the night. Aces Matt Screens effort gave the home side a valuable win and moves the Aces up to fifth.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Leg-Ends 1 v 1 Cornish Wonderers
The Leg-Ends met tough opposition when the Wonderers came to town. And when Joe Gambia put the visitors ahead it looked for one moment that the Wonderers were going to steal the points from the leagues leaders. But it the dying moments of the second half a thunder struck effort found the bottom right corner and the delighted Leg-Ends congratulated their star man Ryan Ault and his trusty right boot.
Dyslexia Untied 0 v 1 Golden Retrievers
three points went to the visitors as the Dyslexic lot squander even more points and find themselves lingering near the foot of the table. A single goal from the Retrievers ? Was enough and leapfrogs them up the table over their opponants.
Golden Retrievers 0 v 4 Leg-Ends
Next the leaders travelled to the Labradors kennel and came out with the points and a massive 4 goal haul. Retrievers just didnt look half the team they usually can be and Jamie Wilkes, Ryan Ault, Nick Webber and Malcolm in the middle all helped themselves to goals to keep the dream alive.
Cornish Wonderers 3 v 1 AFC Truro
The Wonderers are now hitting some kind of form and move up the table to 9th after a slow start to the season. Joe Gambia and a brace from Clive James wrapped up the points against fellow strugglers AFC. Dan Clementson did grab a consolation but the Wonderers were in no mood to let the lead slip.
Obiwan Kenobi Nil 4 v 2 Dyslexia Untied
The force is strong with these youngsters and try as they might Dave Easters two goals were not enough to help Untied out. Robe Wearne and Mike Penhaligon two strikes a piece sealed the dark sides fate as good triumphed over evil once more.
AFC Truro 2 v 4 Pasty Lovers
The Pastys are proving to be a tough crust to crack! And once again but a team to the sword as they move within 4 points of the leaders. AFC mad a game of it with Strikes from Dan Clementson and Declan Barber but they were undone when Ben Rowswell (2) Alex Ladbrooke and Mark Bendy all found the net.
CCP FC 2 v 3 Obiwan Kenobi Nil
One of the Games of the night saw the young Padawans from Hayle bounce back from the jaws of defeat to grab all 3 points and move them to within 1 point of the leaders. Mike Penhaligon, Rob Wearne and Tom Burns were all on target for Obiwan cancelling out the efforts from fellow title chasers CCP. Could the Title race be any tighter?
Pasty Lovers 0 v 1 Booners Boys
The tough crust Pastys and The Booners did battle and and it looked like neither team was going to take the victory until Tom Lyth popped up for the winner and moved the Booners right into the mix of the title race.
Heron Hackers 0 v 0 CCP FC
Hackers dont do giving away goals and CCP are in the mix too so this was always going to be tight so no suprise that this game ended up goal less. A share of the points was a pretty fair result.
Six Of The Best 0 v 1 Heron Hackers
8 games in and still yet to concede the Hackers have the best defence since Nuclear arms were invented! Ladbrooks are offering even money on them going a whole season without conceding a goal but surely that cant happen can it? They move to joint top with two other teams with this single goal victory. The great George Graham is said to be behind this stubborn defensive machine but how much truth is in that who knows?
Cornish Allstars 0 v 1 Booners Boys
Booners are now joint top and will go into next weeks crucial 6 point title decider with the Leg-Ends in some sort of form with 6 points picked up this week. A single strike from Ben Wilkes gives them the win and puts the second in the table.
Six Of The Best 2 v 1 Cornish Allstars
Steve Rocky Williams lead by example as the captain of Best racked up two goals in a win over the leagues basement side. Rocky was heard saying Adrian i love you at the final whistle. The concerns are if Adrian is a man that plays for the Sixes?

Match Reports for Week 3.....
PREMIERSHIP
Cornish Mafia 2 v 1 Rehab Madrid
the two promoted teams from the Championship locked horns once again in a tie that usually swings the way of the Rehabs. Not this time though as Nick Perry bagged a brace to cancel out Will Scholeys effort and give the Mafia another victory and move them up to the heady heights of third place.
Midnight Runners 0 v 1 Cornish Mafia
Again the Mafia put pay to another class side as they move up to third place in the table as Nick Perry bagged his third goal of the night in this 1-0 win. Are the Mafia outside bets for the title? And this from a team that didnt want to get promoted!
Troggies Trojans 1 v 1 Rehab Madrid
The championship champions vs the runners up it was a week back in the old league for Madrid but somehow they only ended up with one point. Will Scholey looked to have given them the win but Brandon Light skipped past the defence to equalise for a share of the points.
F.A.G.S 1 v 0 Troggies Trojans
The Champions got back on track with a hard fought win over theTrojans, ?? scored the goal that mattered that picks up their first points of the season.
Djemba Wanderers 0 v 2 F.A.G.S
Back to back wins for the FAGS moves them out of the relegation zone which was a relief for Paul Billings men. ?? scored and it leaped frogged them over their opponants who drop back into the zone.
Midnight Runners 1 v 1 Aces High
One point is better than none but both sides missed glorious chances to win this game but on reflection perhaps a point was fair. Jason Peters opened the scoring and put the Runners in front but Jon Skiller blasted home the equaliser to leave both on 10 points.
Aces High 2 v 3 Trevs Tractorboys
The Tractorboys made a great escape in this compelling match. The Aces came out fighting at the sound of the bell and smashed two quick goals when Marco Scuito and Scott Tocher finished smartly. Aces then sat on their lead which was to be their demise. And Captain Kayne Trevaskis pulled one back just before the break. With the pressure on eventually Buffon conceeded an equaliser as Liam Streat capitalised. Then in the dying moments of the match Luke Withecombe netted from a quickly taken corner and the great escape was complete.
Sporting Lesbians 3 v 1 Djemba Wanderers
Sporting put Djemba deeper into the mire with this comfortable win, in a ding dong end to end battle the lesbians stay in touch with the leaders as ?? scored for the win.
Trevs Tractorboys 6 v 0 Dodgers
The Dodgers are deep in the doo doo and playing top of the table didnt help matters as they were smashed for 6. Liam Streat completed his hat trick whilst Trevaskis bagged a brace and even stand in Matt Baxter got in on the act for the impressive Tractorboys.
Dodgers 0 v 3 Peldrose Pymps
Dodgers didnt do much better in this game either as they were ripped apart by the rampant Pymps. Jake Williams opened the scoring on the break and further goals from ?? sealed the victory. Dodgers have lost all their opening 6 games and are rock bottom, pymps move up to fifth.
Celtic Devils 0 v 2 Sporting Lesbians
Lesbians are a steady ship as they look to improve on last seasons runners up spot and keep their 100% start for the season. The tie ever looked in doubt as ? Opened the scoring and ? Sealed the victory in style.
Peldrose Pymps 2 v 2 Celtic Devils
An end to end battle but without a recognised keeper the Pymps struggled and the Devils took advantage. ??? traded goals with ?? for a share of the spoils.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Booners Boys 2 v 0 Cornish Wonderers
Booners trying to keep pace with the leaders picked up all the points here thanks to strikes from Aaron Meredith and Luke Wilkes, Wonderers were short on talent and had keeper Matty Buffon up front so thats why they didnt score!
Cornish Allstars 0 v 0 Pasty Lovers
The Allstars were more grateful of the point than the Pastys who felt they created enough to win. But no 0-0 it remained and both sets of fans went home disgruntled.
Cornish Wonderers 1 v 1 Pasty Lovers
Graham Compton gave the Pastys the lead and thats the way it should have stayed as the Pastys applied more pressure but failed to net to make the game safe. Then in the dying moments and despite the efforts of Pastys keeper, Tom Rosenfeld thundered in a strike that found the net via the keepers hand and the post to equalise.
CCP FC 3 v 0 Cornish Allstars
CCP have a hitman in form and the name is Alberts...Lee Alberts. Just a little hat trick for the northerner as CCP ran out convincing winners. But what does CCP stand for?? Answers to Carl@soccernights.com
Golden Retrievers 2 v 0 Booners Boys
The Retrievers pulled off a shock result here against the higher placed Booners to pick up their first win of the season. Mike Cruise and Richard Cooper were on target for the Labradors in a fine win.
CCP FC 2 v 1 Six Of The Best
A big three points here for the CCP as they move into third spot with back to back wins. Lee Alberts was again on target but Scover equalised for the The Best, it was left to Scott lethbridge to conjure up the winner and he duly obliged to put them right in the title race 1 point off the leaders. It was also the first defeat for The best of the season.
AFC Truro 1 v 0 Golden Retrievers
Retrievers after picking up their first win were soon brought back down to earth with a bump when Simon Lyndon scored the only goal of the game that saw AFC Truro leapfrog the Labradors and up the table.
Six Of The Best 6 v 1 Dyslexia Untied
The name says it all and was just a pity that Lee Jewell didnt also net the 6 th aswell as he just racked up 5 of the 6 and Steve Williams bagged the other in this destruction of Dyslexia. Steve Skinner grabbed a consolation for the beleaguered new comers as the best got right back on track with their hunt for silverware.
Leg-Ends 1 v 0 Obiwan Kenobi Nil
Mark Pope was the difference in this match as he bagged the only goal of the game, But had Pope been more clinical in his finishing it could have been more. The Leg-Ends will take it though as it pushes them back on top.
Dyslexia Untied 0 v 0 Heron Hackers
Hackers will be disapointed not to have taken the 3 points off Untied, applying most of the pressure and after seeing them hit for 6 in their last game the league leaders looked a sure bet for victory. But Dave Robinson had regrouped his men and they valiantly defended their point to great success.
Obiwan Kenobi Nil 4 v 0 AFC Truro
In the words of Obiwans manager this was an easy runout for the young Padawans, Rob Wearne and Martin Penhaligon both hit twice as Kenobi Nil move within 3 points of the leaders.
Heron Hackers 0 v 0 Leg-Ends
It was supposed to be the match of the night as the top two locked horns to see who could gain supremacy! It ended as it started with neither side able to score, it was no surprise Hackers didnt score as they recorded their 3rd blank 0-0 draw of the season, and it was no wonder that the Leg-Ends didnt score as the wall of defenders that are the Hackers recorded their sixth shut out of the season and are still yet to conceed.

Week One Match Reports for the New Wednesday League
PREMIERSHIP
Trevs Tractorboys 5 v 1 Djemba Wanderers
The Tractorboys were in the mood tonight and fired 5 past the new amalgamation of Djemba Djemba & Wanaka Wanderers. Lead by captain and namesake Kayne Trevaskis (2), Liam Streat stepped in with a brace also and Bryan Hawke also fired home for the home side. Daire Mcgee replied for Wanderers with the help of a deflection and via the keepers legs.
Dodgers 1 v 2 Celtic Devils
This was a repeat of the SNIFA Cup final from last week and once again the Dodgers took the lead through ?? But this time the Dodgers could not hold onto that lead for the win and instead had Duane Brittan to thank for a cracking Brace to drag the points the Devils way. Interestingly Brittan was unavailable for last weeks final would the Devils had won with him in the side?
Aces High 2 v 1 Dodgers
Dodgers made it a losing start as Aces High took the points in another close contest that went to the wire. Aces were hit and miss last season but looked to have plugged leaky holes and could be contenders once again after a second place a few seasons ago. Joe Gambia & Marco Scuito netted for the win with Dodgers ? On target too.
Trevs Tractorboys 3 v 0 Rehab Madrid
Trevs take the points as Rehab were in Rehab due to overdoses at the weekend and missed the game. Spoting Lesbians were the friendly visitors and were duly over turned 3-0 as Trevaskis, Hawke & Streat all scored in an emphatic fashion. Lesbians did make a game of it but Keeper White was equal to anything they could throw at him.
Aces High 2 v 0 Djemba Wanderers
Again a close affair but the aces had a few aces up their sleeve as Matt Screen & Jon Skiller swooped to score and take home the points. From then on it was never in doubt where the points were going but it looks like it might be a long hard season for Djemba.
Midnight Runners 2 v 1 Celtic Devils
Midnight Runners got off to the best possible start with a hard fought 2-1 win over the Devils. But it was an own goal that won the day and seperated the teams as Luke Abbot Smith gave them the lead almost straight from kick off and Richard Hobbs pulled one back for the Devils.
Sporting Lesbians 1 v 0 Rehab Madrid
Rehab still in therapy had to forfeit this game and Lesbians had to play Trevs Tractorboys for their goal difference, they could not score despite several bites at the cherry and so had to settle for a 1-0 walkover result.
Midnight Runners 1 v 0 Troggies Trojans
The Runners gave the Championship Champions a welcome to the premiership defeat. Troggies practically walked the division last season but now know they face a much sterner test in the Prem. Samuel Marsden was the only goalscorer in a tight affair but sees them with a 100% start.
Sporting Lesbians 2 v 0 Cornish Mafia
Lesbians faired better in this game over bitter rivals Cornish Mafia and sent the newly promoted team packing with two goals from ?? . Mafia were always in the game but the Lesbians Premier league experience eventually shone through.
Peldrose Pymps 2 v 0 F.A.G.S
The Pymps finished third last season but outplayed the defending champs in this opener for both teams this season. Steve Chapmans men lost Carl Lee to the FAGS in the transfer window and replaced him with Aaron Chilman. Replacement Chili opened the scoring proving why the Pymps have justified his huge wage demands and when Mo Imachihi bagged the second the Pymps were coasting to victory leaving Lee wondering if he had made the right move?
Peldrose Pymps 3 v 1 Troggies Trojans
The Trojans were once again left licking their wounds as Premier division quality won the day. Chilman bagged another two goals for his third on the night and Jake Williams added a third for a Pymps 100% winning start. Tom Everton had the away fans cheering with his and the teams first goal of the campaign and the Trojans will have to re group for next week.
F.A.G.S 1 v 2 Cornish Mafia
Defending champs FAGS went down to promoted in 3rd place Cornish Mafia in a game of immense proportions. The Mafia regrouped had a team hug and vowed to not bend over and take one like they did against the Lesbians and amazingly played so good they took home the points. Matt Luff opened with a drive into the top corner, Paul Billing restored order with a classy solo effort for 1-1 but the second half FAGS failed to score and Elliot Jollys neat turn to beat the defender and excellent finish won the day.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Cornish Allstars 1v 1 Golden Retrievers
Allstars were last seasons basement side and got off the mark straight away with a point against the Retrievers and were perhaps unlucky not to take home all 3 points with on loan Mike Holden scoring their goal. Retrievers recouped a point though when ?? scored to even matters.
Cornish Wonderers 1 v 2 Obiwan Kenobi Nil
Clive James scored for the Wonderers but Obiwan had Rob Wearne using the force to rob Wonderers of any points as he netted twice and last seasons Gorilla Unit were off the mark with all 3 points.
Pasty Lovers 0 v 0 Heron Hackers
Nil Nil, hardly a chance for either side and each keeper left twidling thumbs for long periods of the game as it got bogged down in a midfield scrap. Both happy for a share of the spoils but perhaps more so the Pasties as Hackers are 3-1 title contenders.
Heron Hackers 1 v 0 Cornish Wonderers
Hackers are not known for their attacking flare but have a defence the British army would be proud to boast. ?? scored the goal that mattered and gives the hackers a great start to the campaign. Wanderers are looking good this term expect them to be in the promotion hunt also.
Obiwan Kenobi Nil 4 v 1 Golden Retrievers
The young Padawans did themselves proud as they romped home to victory over the Retrievers showing their older counter parts how to do it! Rob Wearne was again the tormentor as he bagged another 2 four for the night. Retrievers Mike Cruise grabbed a consolation goal.
Leg-Ends 2 v 0 Cornish Allstars
Leg-Ends came forth last season and were unlucky not to get promoted so this season they are one of the favourites for the title assuming they dont go into receivership first. The cash strapped club dominated this game and won through with goals from the nippy Danny Ford & Mark Pope.
Six Of The Best 3 v 0 Pasty Lovers
New side and unknown quantity six of the best got off to the best possible start when they smashed 3 past the Pasties without reply. Marcus Grasso of FAGS fame did the damage with all 3 goals.
Leg-Ends 7 v 3 Dyslexia Untied
This high tempo high scoring game was a classic British affair as tackles and raw grit saw the Leg-Ends win through by out scoring their opponents. Al Shoesmith, and a Gareth Wilcox brace was not enough for the visitors as the home side smashed 7 as Danny Ford (2) Nick Webber and a 4 goal haul from Mark Pope saw off the resistance.
Booners Boys 1 v 1 Six Of The Best
Honours even in a game that saw Booners hang on for the point. Aaron Meredith was the hero for them again with the goal but Carl Titch Lee grabbed an equaliser.
Dyslexia Untied 1 v 1 AFC Truro
Both teams picked up their first point of the season in a game that could have swung either way as each team squandered a bunch on chances. Two chances that were taken as Steve Skinner Untied the Truro defence for the opener and Andy Saunders levelled for a share of the points.
CCP FC 0 v 2 Booners Boys
Booners snatched this one as it could have been either team winning the game. Aaron Merdith proved the difference between the teams as he netted early in the first half for 1-0 and then supplied Ben Minns with an easy tap in for 2-0 as CCP went in search of an equaliser.
AFC Truro 1 v 1 CCP FC
Truro look a better outfit this season with a couple of new signings as they look to improve on 11th in the championship last term. Lee Alberts looked to have secured the points for CCP FC but a late mazy run and poked finish from Andy Ley levelled the game and sent the home fans home happy.
