Futsal is the future of Small-Sided Football and you get to play it here first. Soccer Nights have the only structured competition in Cornwall!
How did players such as Luis Figo, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Robinho and Roberto Carlos develop skills that set them apart from other players? What did they do as youngsters that provided them with the basis to becoming some of the world’s best players?

Futsal is the format of Small Sided Football that is recognised and supported by FIFA and UEFA with World and European Championships for club and National Teams
The name 'Futsal' simply combines the Spanish words for ‘Hall’ – Sala and ‘Football’ – Futbol into Futsal. It is a five-a-side game, played with hockey sized goals and a smaller ball with a reduced bounce.
As a small-sided game players are constantly placed in situations where they must receive or play whilst under pressure or in confined spaces and it places considerable demand on technique, movement, tactical awareness and fitness.

The competition starts on Monday 12th February 2007 and runs for approx 16 weeks. There will also be a coaches workshop on monday 5th February that will give you both theoretical and practical advice and understanding of this special game. The venue is the Bodmin Dragon Centre within easy reach of the A30 in the heart of Cornwall. The winners of the league competition will go on to the national finals, If you are a success there you could be playng in the UEFA Club european finals?
Winning team will also receive a brand new kit to go to the finals with along with travel laid on to the event.

Terms & Conditions of The Cornwall Futsal League
A £40.00 deposit is required by all teams when they enter the league. This deposit is fully refundable when adhering to the following four conditions:
1. Match fees are £20 per team per night. Any match fee underpayments that are not made up before the team leaves will be taken against the deposit
2. If a team is absent on two consecutive match nights, they will be removed from the league and the deposit withheld
3. If a team fails to give 2 weeks notice before the end of the season of their intention to leave, their deposit will be withheld.
4. If a team needs to pull out of a league during the course of its 1st season , a fee of £12 will be deducted to cover the cost of affiliating your team to the F.A.
(If your team is already part of a Soccer Nights league you will not need a deposit to join this competition)
